Didier,

You win on a technicality regarding the lens' focal length. :-)  On
the issue of greater variety of shutter speeds, 1/650 is just a
fraction of a stop greater than 1/500th, while 1/8th and 1/15th, the
slowest shutter speeds on the Auto S3, give a much greater advantage
in the number of available speeds.  Of course, both cameras pale by
comparison to the shutter speeds available on the Rollei 35SE (to say
nothing of their significantly greater size.
