DNG is great. It is *merely* an extension to TIFF with newly defined
tags defining the necessary Metadata.
DNG *is* TIFF. My issue is hardly with DNG -- which is open -- it is
with proprietary RAW formats.
So if you would prefer to convert your proprietary RAW images to DNG
-- go for it.
