But automatic is not perfect. There's almost nothing you have to set manually at all on the flash. It picks up the ISO from the camera. It's TTL metering, so you just set your aperture where you want it and just shoot. You don't have to set an aperture on the flash. I usually pick f5.6 or so myself. If you want to notch her down a bit, you do have to do this manually yourself. I do this, especially when shooting skin in front of anything dark (including night or a dark room).
