He wouldn't choose the Nikon SP...it doesn't have a meter and has limited available optics and is coveted by collectors instead of shooters. A mint M3 is the nicest thing in your glass exhibition cabinet. I might feel closer to mine if it hadn't been made when I was 5 years old. I needed sex hormones flowing through my veins to imprint on objects, so I unfortunately imprinted on a Pentax Spotmatic and coveted the Rolleiflex. I've used a 35 for years on an M3 without the goggles. But then I am not that critical about frame edges. And the 3 is a nice piece of work. bill h ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael J Herring" <creativevisions@verizon.net> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2005 8:00 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] Leica M3 purchase > Thanks! > I am leaning toward a 35mm as my first lens. > However, this would be a mistake to use with the M3. > Correct? > > Thanks to all, > Mike > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Feli" <feli2@earthlink.net> > To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> > Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2005 3:19 AM > Subject: Re: [Leica] Leica M3 purchase > > >> Used with meter: >> M6 or M6TTL $1300-1500 >> MP (demo) $2300 >> >> Used no meter: >> M4 $1000-1500 (add $250 for a CLA) >> M2 $ 800-1400 (add $250 for a CLA) >> >> New: >> MP (black) >> >> If I could only have one lens it would be a 35. >> >> >> feli >> >> >> On Apr 4, 2005, at 8:11 PM, Michael J Herring wrote: >>> OK, Gents.
