And I love the two dog shots, but don't think they belong in the group. Oh, and having said something perceived as mean spirited about a shot of someone else's daughter, I'm a little nervous saying this, but there's something a bit disturbing about 16 - there's a 40-year-old woman in that photo, trying to pass as a four-year-old(?) little girl. Very spooky. Particularly so if you just isolate the three phone shots...it goes from totally goofy little girl, to little girl seriously listening, to...adult....great shots... -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Ted Grant Sent: Sunday, April 03, 2005 2:41 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] doll toss semi finals Eric showed & asked: Subject: [Leica] doll toss semi finals > Opinions? > > http://canid.com/current/doll_toss_02.html > > http://canid.com/current/kirby_science_discovery_center_vortex.html< Hi Eric, Sorry mate she didn't qualify! :-( Or you didn't qualify! As she's looking at you and camera and not the tossed doll! I suppose she'll have to wait until next year when the Games come around again for another qualifying round.! ;-) Second shot isn't a winner either due to the bad light/shadow on the boy's face! Pity! You can almost crop him out completely and have a sort of interesting shot with the little girl only due to her direct eye line to her hand. I'm surprised you didn't pick-up on the face shadow as it's so obvious and hardly something one would miss. ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
