The best thing with Metz flashes is the color. The pictures comes out very natural and even (I uses a lot with Portra 160NC). I feel the same with the smaller Metz I use for RF. It recycles fast and the menu is easy to use but the buttons tends to be clumsy to operate, you need quite a few presses before you get to your point. The SB800 menu is less friendly and the colors are not as good. Of course the best selling point is allow it to use on other systems with adaptors. The sub-flash on the front also comes in handy to create the twinkle in the eyes for bounce. On the negative side is relatively bulky, and heavy.
