[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hello Simon, The ones that work: http://gallery.leica-users.org/album133/jet1 and http://gallery.leica-users.org/album133/jet2 and http://gallery.leica-users.org/album133/jet4 have a point of focus that draws you into the image. Jet 1 could be improved by cropping a square of just your daughter. The point of that is get closer. These three show a young person really have the time of her life and the image sucks you into her joy. Most of the others do not have a focal point that draws you in. This one: http://gallery.leica-users.org/album133/zeehond1 is a prime example. You have documented the scene fairly well, but there is too much image. If the image was of just the handler and the seal, with both in sharp focus then the image would have worked much better. Overall, a fairly strong group of images. I think the success rate is higher because you are not pushing the limits of the envelope (A Noctilux with 3200iso film at one second at F1 with a gyro). Also, there is that family attraction that improves anyone's images. I hope this is helpful.
