What made it a horrible deal was the fact that I sold my first version Summicron, a black paint Wetzlar lens, for $120. :-( ----- Original Message ----- From: "Feli" <feli2@earthlink.net> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2005 11:42 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] Re:Advice needed on 35mm lens for Leica M > > >>> Austin, you must be writing about the "middle-aged" 35/2 Summicron >>> (pre-ASPH), not really the "old" Summicron 35/2 (the 8-element first >>> version), of which mint examples are currently selling for - and being >>> purchased at - $2,000. and up! >>> >>> Seth > > It's weird, about 3 years ago I noticed that the first 8-element version > started > to sky rocket in price.
