Oh, you mean $5938 DOLLARS this a.m. - which, with a body, raises the
price to just over $8200! Damn, this thing better produce the equivalent
of 4x5 chromes for that money. ;-)

Generally agreed price in the press in Germany is 4,5K euros (including
tax) and without an R8/R9 body. This may rise (Leica) or fall (depending
where you 
buy it) or maybe presented in a package (a Leica speciality) with a
camera body 
at a reduced price
