What comes after that is anyone's guess - banks in Germany are pulling their purse strings VERY tight at present. The reasons quoted for the immense losses - "Neben der Konjunktur machte Leica die Auftragszur?ckhaltung des Handels vor der Fachmesse Photokina, versp?tete Produktanl?ufe und ?gezielte Bestandsreduzierungen bei Vertriebspartnern? verantwortlich." "In addition to the economic trend (in Germany)Leica sees the reasons in the reticence of dealers in placing orders before the Photokina trade fair, delayed production deadlines and stock reduction by distributors." At least they admit the delays in production. It definitely does not bode well for Solms.
