Looking through all those landscapes made me think of trying to find some of my own, but somehow I do not see as much in my local natural environment (though I will keep looking), so I have thought how can I compete and decided to try to find more "cityscapes", which surround me and are part of my life. I wanted to include the steps because they are so much a part of "my" Sydney, so I'm interested that you would choose that one over the tighter composition, which focuses more on the subject rather than the surroundings. Thanks for the comments Cheers On 03/02/2005, at 8:28 PM, GeeBee wrote: >> >> The rest of this weeks PAW was: >> http://gallery.leica-users.org/Alastairs-PAW-2005/Week5 >> http://gallery.leica-users.org/Alastairs-PAW-2005/W5Alt1 >> >> Cheers >> Alastair >> >> _______________________________________________ > > Hi Alastair, > > I love the Opera House/factory shot for the contrasts between > flamboyant/utility architecture, relative safety/danger between the two > environments, the way the Opera House hovers overhead like a bird and > for > several other, harder to define, reasons. > > I particularly like inclusion of the steps bottom left and for that > reason > prefer it to the main.
