I find it convenient enough with the M6 Normal and MP, though, the flash will switch to standby (ie, go off) after 3 minutes and then not fire when you press the M6's shutter, as the M6 cannot wake it up like the M6TTL can. This has been a problem for me and I lost a number of shots because of it. Now I tend to remember to check if the flash is awake and press a button if it isnt. On A mode with the SF20, flash compensation is only available in full EV steps, ie, -1, -2 etc. With TTL capability it is adjustable in 1/3 steps. Nevertheless, I've found the SF20 to be very useful with non TTL bodies. It has A mode pre-set apertures of 2.8, 5.6 and 11, so getting to f2 while shooting at 5.6 is just a matter of setting the flash aperture at 2.8 and dialing in -1 EV adjustment. Works a charm. Hopefully some of the the above is relevant to the SF24! Rick.
