Subject: [Leica] .54 Mag? - was: 2nd body decisions

Hi Scott,

I'm sorry I've never used the VF 0,58, I can't have an opinion.

I think that sometimes the photographers, included myself, we are so much
influenced by technology, and the important is our capability to take
pictures not the instrument, the only important point for me about the
instrument is that it should be comfortable for our use, and we should be
"in love" with it.

Saludos cordiales,
Luis

Thanks Luis. I asked about the R3a over on PN, and several folks there
seemed to experience quality control problems. The AE feature of the M7
and R3a isn't that big a deal for me. I have an FM3a and end up using AE
rarely with that camera.

I'm wondering if another M6TTL might not the best (features, budget)
solution for me, using that for my 28/2 and my .72 for my 50/1.5. Are
there
any .58 mag VF shooters here on the LUG, happy or otherwise? How are
the .58 M6TTLs vs. the later M7s quality wise? Did they make these in
chrome finish?

Also, I do think about a meterless camera. I have made use of a small
Sekonic
incident meter and have enjoyed the experience (other than that
particular meter
sucking for low light use). My experience with manual flash hasn't been
so great,
but I have a new big Vivitar 285 to give it another whirl :-)
