Hi Emanuel,
Anorak is, in English, a hooded jacket popular with certain types since 
at least the 60s. The word is also now used to describe nerdy 
enthusiasts who are excessively pedantic about their hobbies - probably 
originally referring to the passionate train-spotters who practically 
made an anorak their uniform.
So, in the UK, anorak is applied to extremely pedantic enthusiasts.
