Last Saturday I hiked over hill and dale searching for an Eagle's nest
I'd been told about, with a backpack chock full of R System. Friggin
heavy! There's no way I'd want to carry an extra body. I ditched the
Motor Drive as it is and carted only a winder along. Now the digi-back
with film capability would be a space and weight saver - for sure. I'm
just looking for the reason to swap in the field?

Well, maybe here's one. I could use the digi back to take setup and
experimental shots and once satisfied I'm on track, switch to film and
get the money shots on the best media available. It's conceivable.
Instant feedback would be so good for shooting sessions like these.
I'd have plenty of time between food drops (to the chicks, not me :-(
) to do things like swap backs, read a few chapters, sleep, etc. And
if I've got the digi back on when the shot of the day materialises, I'd
just go with that. 10.5 Mpix aint so bad.
