They do look 'different;' and don't believe anyone who tells you they look the same. (although the black and white prints produced by the HP7690 on BH's best glossy paper look just like custom silver prints on RC paper - no kidding). But the quadtone prints are really gorgeous, just gorgeous in a different way. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Frank Filippone Sent: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 8:38 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] A Surprisingly Good Lens So do really well made analog prints. The (admitted) problem is finding a lab that will do a quality job. ( like finding ANY analog lab these days is not difficult enough! My 2 pro level labs have both shut down. Even getting E6 done these days is hard to find.....) To BD's point..... I have never said that a publication or a catalog would want other than digital. It makes good economic sense to them. Congrats to BD for bagging a good project that pays ...... Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net You can't deny that they have a certain clarity about them. _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
