I'll leave it to more inquiring minds to discern the parallels between the Lego saga and Leica. In brief, though, both originally European family-based companies pioneered a type of entirely non-essential plaything around the Depression era, and both have since lost their exclusivity to more aggressive competition coming from elsewhere.
