I hope that people read these and stop complaining about the price of the camera - you get what you pay for! I doubt my new Canon DSLR would recover from such an experience... though I will admit that my trusty old OM-1 recovered pretty well from a dip in a stream, then a drop on a rock, and then sitting in a puddle in the bottom of the camera bag while I struggled to get out of a storm during a hike through the Appalachians.
