With a friend we tried to hike the volcano Soufriere. "Tried" because half way a terrible rain forced us to turn around to avoid being cut off by rising water. My wifes two R7 and my two M6 were in our backpack inside plastic bags. The rain was so bad that it filled the backback and the plastic bags. All cameras where under water. Back at the hotel the rain stopped and the sun was shining bright. I dried the cameras with a soft cloth and left them open in the sun to totally dry. All 4 cameras survived the bath without any problems. To make sure that everything was ok we sent them to John van Stelten and he confirmed that there were no problems. I wondered if anyone had any WAR (WORE) stories involving M cameras and their survival in adverse conditions. There is a web site some where which states a photographer shot all day in the rain with an M3 and although the camera worked fine. He opened it up when home and dried it out and it was perfect again. He also swears that and M3 in almost waterproof (within reason) because of this. I wondered if anyone had any other stories about M's and feats of endurance. Cheers once again Alex _________________________________________________________________ Find love today with ninemsn personals.
