So try another argument. Gene "B. D. I don't consider the LUG, a group largely made up of gearheads committed to a 50-year-old film camera design, to be reflective of the attitudes of the buying public. ;-) But as we both know - we're not going to agree on this one. Everything is possible if costs are ignored. And, they didn't accomplish this astounding feat "at a time when Leica and all the traditionalists said it couldn't be done". They accomplished it 3 years later, when technology reduced technical barriers and after the buying public was conditioned to accept a crop factor. Interesting. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Joseph Yao Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2004 12:03 PM To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: Re: [Leica] Say Hello to Hermes Leica -- THE Photog's FashionStatement on 13/10/04 10:54 pm, Douglas Herr at telyt@earthlink.net wrote: > So, how long was Epson/Cosina working on this before they made it > public?
