Subject: [Leica] strange x-ray effect

Hi everyone,

I just had a roll of fujicolor 1600 developed and printed at my local 1 hour
minilab. 4 shots were printed as "landscape mode." And I had the machine
operator redo them and again the machine printed landscape mode. The
operator claimed that the camera marked the negatives for this. Strange
since I used a 1950's Leica M3.

I was just thinking that maybe the fact that the film was a year outdated (
but frozen ) and had been through 2 round trips between Newark NJ and Fort
Lauderdale FL airport x-ray machines could explain this. The film was
exposed after all these x-rays, and it was the last frames that were
printed landscape. Technically the photos were almost OK, just some night
shots of firemen at a burning house.

Any comments?
