It was too frenetic for my Gawgia-drawlin soul. We have B&N almost everywhere, but they do not carry this publication either. Thankfully several LUGer has offered to help. I guess that's what we have to put up with, here in Small Town USA. ;-) Although I was very surprised that I could not find it in the LA/Orange County area. As much as I detest the chain bookstore phenom, I can't imagine! ;-) Kit -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+leicagalpal=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+leicagalpal=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of grduprey@rockwellcollins.com Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 4:36 PM To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: RE: [Leica] Sal DiMarco interview in Photographers Forum Kit I also checked a Borders bookstore in Brea, Calif. when I was there last week also. No such luck I did not make it into the L.A. area, but then I try to stay out of LA as much as possible when in the area, WAY too much traffic and congestion. Although Orange County is not much better these days. ;-) gene "Kit McChesney" <leicagalpal@earthlink.net> Sent by: lug-bounces+grduprey=rockwellcollins.com@leica-users.org 09/21/2004 05:01 PM Please respond to Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> To "'Leica Users Group'" <lug@leica-users.org> cc Subject RE: [Leica] Sal DiMarco interview in Photographers Forum Gene et al-- The publisher just confirmed that they are sold in 'most' Borders Bookstores. Ugh. Maybe some independents have them, too? One would hope. I'd bet that Hennessy + Ingalls in Santa Monica would have them, too. They're a fabulous photo and architecture bookstore. http://www.hennesseyingalls.com/ Kit -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+leicagalpal=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+leicagalpal=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of grduprey@rockwellcollins.com Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 12:32 PM To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: Re: [Leica] Sal DiMarco interview in Photographers Forum Can anyone obtain a copy for me and send it to me? I will pay all costs. I have yet to find a single bookstore of any flavor that carries this publication. I have tried all over Iowa and also Orange county in Calif. The piece includes 7 of Sal's photos and is 8 pages long. You may find out some things about Sal that you did not know. You can find Photographer's Forum magazine in upscale book stores and magazine stands. I was honored to know Sal and to write this tribute to a fine person and a great photographer. I am so glad I completed the article and had already sent it to the publisher before Sal passed. The next LUGger whose interview will be published is Ted Grant due out in November 2004.
