My D100 was neither "late" nor "semi-disposable".

I tire of the "disposable" argument for digi. Its nonsense. Although
there was/is a big push by the companies to "replace" their film
offerings with digital they really are not replacing digital models
any faster than they did film. Also just because a new version of a
camera comes out doesn't mean the old one stops working... hell, ask
Doug about that. My D100 works fine, and will continue to work fine. I
may get a wild hair and decide to upgrade but I have absolutely no
*need* to upgrade.

It seems to me that people look at digital cameras as they do
computers in the early 90s. Its simply not the same. The technology is
not moving as fast as one might think... if it was Epson probably
could have made a full-frame "Like-a".
