It might imply a light leak that is out of the usual light path from lens to film. Ken Ruth claimed that the Hexar RF had a design flaw that left an inherent light leak. He fixed Bob Shell's with some felt. Was it your Hexar [gasp!] or a Leica [heresy!]?
