If there is only sold one hundred 1200 mm.* tele optics a year and the same one hundred should be devided among 6 camera makers delivering goods for the pro market that would make sixteen pieces a year eacg and that would not give much back to the research/developement departments of these companys?! (*and likewise with T&SH lenses and other special lenses) Its happening with mediumformat to - Bronica, Yasica and Mamiya is out leaving the market to Rollie and Hasselblad and perhaps Fuji. There will be feinscmecher brands like Silvestri, Alpo and Lindhoff but they do not depend on their own lenses, so perhaps Minolta and Pentax did the right thing when then pulled out of the pro-market and instead was content with providing the amateurm arket with som really competent equipment? Anyway even Nikon is loosing terrain to Canon, so the future pro 35mm/11-14 Mpix market might just have one player left in a couple of years? - sad though ----- Original Message ----- From: "Henning Wulff" <henningw@archiphoto.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 7:32 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] Digilux 2 review pt posted - many samples > At 7:26 PM -0500 3/17/04, Sam wrote: > >I wonder if you can recall what was lacking in the XK system?
