I may be mixing up stores....National Camera Repair, when expanded and
on the south side of Penn Ave, may be the place I bought used
equipment...like my beloved Canon F1 and lenses! :-)

I don't ever remember them being the same. In fact I don't think
Charlie had much use for the owner of Potomac Photo, with good reason.
Charlie started out in a shack between 2 buildings, no more than 8 feet
wide. Then he moved next door to a real storefront. In addition to
fixing stuff, he also used to sell things like tri-x 20 packs, and
eventually cameras. Sometime after I left the area, 1967, the store
moved across the street into a new building and became a full service
shop. The last time I was there Charlie was gone, I was told he retired
to North Carlolina.

Potomac moved a few blocks west on Penn Ave after the World Bank took
over the block, and eventually became a Moto Photo.

In the nature of full disclamer, I worked for both Potomac Photo, and
National Camera Repair during my 2 year vacation from the Univ. of
Maryland.
