Hi Scott,
I think disposable film cameras had proved that "good enough and cheap"  
is the real driving force for most people who take holiday/family snaps  
way before digital.
I get better prints, particularly colour balance, from (large sensor)  
digital than I managed in a darkroom from 35mm film, this is probably  
more because of my lack of darkroom patience.
I use MF for maximum quality.
I am not that fond of B&W.
I love my M6 but it gets little use at the moment - perhaps because it  
has a B&W film in it :-)
