Based on my experience so far with the Canon lenses, albeit limited, the Canon primes are very good indeed--I have the 1.4/50mm and the 1.8/85mm and I am extremely pleased with both. But the best part is that you do not have to give up your Leica R glass. In my most recent PAW I posted some pictures taken with the 100mm Apo Macro mounted on the 10D using Stephen Gandy's adapter. It works very well.
