G?ring thought he would be invaluable to the allies - he was very wrong. Interesting that the information gathered by putting Concentration Camp prisoners in freezing water, or low air pressure environments, to find the survival parameters for high altitude or ditched pilots was snapped up by the allies and formed the basis of survival equipment design after WWII. Needless to say this was destructive testing.
