Unlike the earlier Ektachromes, the slides weren't a ghastly mix of reds and blues, and the background was absolutely neutral instead of Kodachrome's olive green cast. Have been shooting E-6 ever since. I shot patient portraits for clinical use from 1990 to 2000 with an R6, 100 apo macro, and a nice metz flash. The good light from the flash was the key.
