My eyes can accommodate for changes in brightness, but film is much less forgiving. For me, lowering the contrast doesn't help...it only makes it muddy. To offer good critique I should try to what I'd change...but I don't think I'm sophisticated enough to say beyond I'd want to explore the image working on the middle grays which seem both necessary and absent in order for me to connect.
