Yes, the larger CCDs at 7-8 mgp will produce higher res, but for most things, 5-6 is more than sufficient; I am getting 13x19 prints with my 5+ mgp 4/3 E-1 that look just as good, if not better, than tri-x at the same size. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of David Mason Sent: Sunday, July 25, 2004 11:01 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] More RD-1 Samples I think the problem is the camera manufacturers marketing depts. Digital cameras are sold primarily on the megapixel scale. The problem being a 5 megapixel camera with a smaller sized CCD will not produce the same results as one with a larger CCD. Its all very confusing to the consumer because of how the manufacturers are selling them, in my opinion.
