And my guess is that the Leica M will be more than pushing the limit of quality for the size sensor being used. Yes, if the M was a full-frame camera delivering the image quality of the 1DS, you might well see my kids go on the block - you'd certainly see my M film bodies, and Nikon bodies and lenses fly out the door - probably along with my Rollei 6008 2 1/4 and my Leica M 90 Summicron. ;-) But I expect a less-than-full frame sensor to sell for a price similar to that of the new Canon MkII - not a 1DS. No kidding. So if, in a year or three, Leica digital M can deliver a "fine 11 mpixel image with M glass for a street price of $7,000" we can watch your 3 kids go on the auction block. Do I have that right? ;-) Fond regards, G e o r g e L o t t e r m o s e r, imagist? <?>Peace<?> <?>Harmony<?> <?>Stewardship<?> Presenting effective messages in beautiful ways since 1975 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ web <www.imagist.com> eMail george@imagist.com voice 262 241 9375 fax 262 241 9398 Lotter Moser & Associates 10050 N Port Washington Rd - Mequon, WI 53092 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
