(us, many serious photographers) I reality I'm aware that to reintroduce a half frame format for 35mm film ore call it something else with more Passas (digitally compatible film systems ) it would require all the minilabs to regear for that format so the masses can have their snapshots. They'd have to but gears with smaller teeth in those machines. For the appropriate BITE. Still they could hype it like some big new thing and get everybody all excited about it to make such expenditures with their marketing happy. "Get RETRO USE out of those fast, small, lightweight compact, cheap, sharp digital glass you've been breaking your bank over!" FLIM!!!! That?s right that filmy stuff they sell in those cute little 35 cassettes you can now use and get 72 pictures out of!" "So what you cant erase and redo them!" Most of those labs will make more and more decent scans out of the whole roll for you as part of the deal for chump change. Desktop scanning is climbing well over the 4000dpi mark. IF you don?t mind using a Minolta. Here are the lenses just out designed for that smaller digital image circle which would be great to be able to be put to use shooting FLIM!
