At that time it was a different emulsion designed to sell in grocery stores and drug stores. The found larger dye clumps and less sharpness than T400 or Portra: in general it was a very inferior film. This year Kodak has come out with a similarly named film that is in fact a rework of their Portra film. If the film you bought has a long expiration date then it will be the good stuff, on the other hand, if it expires in eight to twelve months then it is probably the old stuff. In any case, the previous advice to downrate the film to 200 and not print it in the darkroom are good suggestions. Cat no is 377 9360; BWC 135-36. [Yeah OK guys, I know about grabbing film at the last moment, but I had one roll of T400CN and the flight was early.] It isn't T400CN, nor BW400CN as far as I can see from Kodak's site. What is it? I am sure _SOMEONE_ on the LUG will know. Interestingly the copyright date on the package is 2000!!! Many thanks, Peter Dzwig PS It went in the camera OK. I will think about showing you when I get the results back :-) PPS Was very pleased by the reverential comments from two Frenchman in two places about Leicas! _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
