I am amazed that wildlife photogs can seemingly go into a stealth mode and get shots I can only dream about. I have trouble even photographing the geese that proliferate around here- I think they are afraid of the bright red dot on my camera! About the only wildlife I can photograph are my college aged son and his friends! :o) One question- here in NC we call chipmunks ground squirrels--- do the California version have the big fluffy tails or are their tails short and small like chipmunks? Just curious.
