But resentment aside, you're correct - "or" is the appropriate word,
while the implication that every GI, or even a majority of GIs are
torturers is totally incorrect.

There's an implication in this that every GI is a torturer - which I
deeply resent. I think "or" would work between the list of recordable
events.
