It seems I wasn't very clear on my position to what happened.
I find it pretty funny, how strange this might seem.
I was wanted this particular camera soooooo much, looked at eBay offers for
weeks, and finally found one at about half the price most of the T's (of
that version) were sold. I saw some strange things at the presented
pictures, but thought, hey, maybe it's something I can rub of once I get it.
So I'm not blaming the seller for anything but torturing his camera. And I'm
keeping this one: at least I'll have a story to tell my grandchildren.
