Are you sure this is not a subconscious desire to really keep that plastic
on the baseplate?  Come on Fess Up! ;-)

The only reason I responded to this topic is because of an error in
removing
the plastic from the bottom of an M7 base plate I found in the equipment
cabinet earlier today. :-)
