Speaking as a dealer, if my customer had this problem, I'd just take the camera back, say "oh, I'm sorry, can we get you something else?" and send it back to Leica with a note attached that says, "this thing is busted!" Ted is right. It's very simple. You bought new camera, even if a demo. Leica considers that new. It's under warranty, but it also should be under the dealers's return policy period, and even if it isn't, or is out of that frame of time by a few days, he/she should still take it back with a big old smile. At least that's what I think. But what do I know? ;-) Kit (kitmc@acmefoto.com) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+kitmc=acmefoto.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+kitmc=acmefoto.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Ted Grant Sent: Monday, May 17, 2004 8:34 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] HELP WITH M6 TTL Subject: RE: [Leica] HELP WITH M6 TTL The simplest answer for the photographer who posted the original question is: Take it back to the dealer and have it sent to Leica for re-placement or repair! Quite frankly it's a no brainer to ask "has anyone else experienced this?" Obviously the camera is malfunctioning and if it were not for the list wouldn't the owner take it back? Long before the magic of internet communications taking it back was the answer. So why bother people with a question about an obvious malfunction? Return it! Certainly that would have been the way it was before the internet, problem solved and surprise of surpises ... "you fixed the problem all by yourself." Now for heaven sake people have to ask the internet world about every conceivable situation. Doesn't anyone think for themselves anymore? I mean if your new car isn't running properly one doesn't go on the list and ask... "has anyone experienced this?" You take it back! Is that so difficult? ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
