The BW400CN will have imperceptible "grain" (finer than Panatomic X) and much smoother gray tonality. If you want it to look like Tri-X, you have to get a "grain filter" plug-in. I have several in PhotoKit, and they are available individually that will mimic different film types. If you want the gritty, 1950's look of Tri-X, you might want to try one of the filters. I've all but given up on scanning silver halide films. I have some APX 100 drying now. Wish me luck. My scanner has ICE so I can remove any scratches, dust etc from colour negs and positives. Kodak has BW400CN (replacement for T400CN) so can I scan this like any other colour negative? How good is this film in comparison to Tri-X ? I do reportage work so I need to know if its suitable too? Regards Matt _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
