Best bet is the epson 4870, it does a good job and can also batch scan a whole bunch at the time, I upgraded from 3200 to 4870 (just for ice). _______________________________ Regards, Mehrdad -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+msadat=kiakki.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+msadat=kiakki.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Jeffery Smith Sent: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 9:06 AM To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: RE: [Leica] Coolscan 5000 out of the box Will it scan panoramic film? As in XPAN? -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jls=runbox.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jls=runbox.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Sonny Carter Sent: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 10:44 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] Coolscan 5000 out of the box My new Nikon 5000 Coolscan came today, and I took it out of the box, loaded software, and looked for the worst slide I could find to test the processing capabilities. Anyhow, The first is a straight scan with nothing turned on. Scroll down and see the second; it has digital ice 4, ROC, and digital GEM applied. Not bad. (the pic is Bob Ruby, an old friend of Craig Robert's and mine!).) Regards, Sonny http://www.sonc.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
