Jeffrey,
Tamarkin always has a few and Classic Camera usually has a few. Not to
forget, I would check with Rich Pinto. If you go for "user" then
$200-250 is a reasonable dollar amount.

Most of these lenses have "coating marks" and do work much better after
a stint with DAG, Sherry, or John.

Thanks, Don. I actually like the "old fashioned" look. Now, finding one
is another thing.....

Jeffrey,
The collapsible Summicron is a lovely lens. You will find that to F4
the edges are soft but the center third is very good although contrast
is a little low. The contrast thing is not too bad as in low light you
usually have too much contrast. The other issue is flare, a light in
the lens will flare pretty badly so shooting into strong light provides
a very old fashioned image.

The above are the difficulties with the lens. Over all rendition is
very nice with the traditional Leica rounded sharpness, very smooth and
transitions from sharp to unsharp are quite lovely. Even badly flared
images when corrected in PS look like nothing else available today.

Check availability and pricing as the Summitar is probably just as good
but with more curvature of field than the Summicron.

Anyone have impressions of the 50/2 collapsible Summicron?
