The little knife blades are all there, do you think they might grip better if I filed them to be a little more angular at the corners ? I've got diamond files that fine for my other hobby, 1/72 scale modelling, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Thanks for the other suggestions , there is a kind of self-adhesive green rough felt used for landscaping model dioramas, should be just the thing. My other idea was to paint casting resin on the inside of the ring , only between the blades just to make the ring a bit tighter. The stuff is smooth and transparent and as hard as rock when cured, Used it the other day to repair a cracked glass lamp globe, just paint it on , layer for layer, afterwards you don't seeits there. Been thinking of casting a protective push-on for the 12mm Voigtl?nder finder, must get around to it one day.
