I stand by that one (if it were on a ballot, I'd vote to ban it). The second part was whether or not people should spend money on their pets instead of sending it overseas to feed people. Last time I looked, a lot more of my (tax) money than I spend on my pets is being sent by the US overseas in the form of foreign aid. My observation today was that Sam seems to be pissed off at non-smokers, Volvo owners, and people who take care of their pets, or maybe just the pets themselves. That's fine with me. Let him smoke, not buy a Volvo, and not have pets (or have them but not take care of them...that's really responsible too). He might be spending a bit too much energy in hating things. Life's too short to spend being pissed off at everything that doesn't fall within one's own personal tastes. Or maybe I'm missing one or more points. :-) B.
