Subject: [Leica] Ed Kashi's book "Aging in America"

While it's not true that few photographers have taken on the subject -
though few have gotten beyond clich?s - Kashi is really good. In fact,
I'd say that he's someone who rarely gets the attention he deserves.

For another look at aging, check out 'the fat baby - stories by Eugene
Richards," which has just been released. Photos and text are VERY
strong, particularly the story about Richards moving his father out of
the family home and down to Florida.

I recently read and viewed Ed Kashi's book, "Aging in America". I
obtained a copy after originally seeing it a month or so ago in Kirk
Anspach's studio (Kirk Anspach develops and prints for Ed Kashi, Jim
Marshall and others.) All of the images in "Aging in America" were made
with Leica, most on Tri-X, some on TMZ. AFAIK few photographers have
attempted to document such a difficult subject. Ed Kashi's website is
http://www.edkashi.com/ .
