After I informed Triad Roadrunner that it was just a very voluble newsgroup, I was once again able to receive. I found that explanation a bit funny as for every 2 messages I get from the LUG, I also receive a message trying to sell me male enhancement products, refinance my mortgage, keep me young, help me lose weight, show me pictures of girls and their naughty bits, and sometimes even a message from someone I know. Those have NEVER stopped! So go figure!
