The results were good but did not seem to compare to using a dedicated Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 ED scanner. The images needed more sharpening in Photoshop. The Epson software actually gives you a digital contact sheet to examine two strips of images at one time. Has anyone used the improved 4870 Epson flat bed scanner for transparencies? It would be a lot cheaper to get the 4870 than the large format Nikon scanner. Thanks for your reponses. Richard Clompus
