I agree whole-heartedly and look forward to meeting him. My son is on the
pre-commissioning unit of the JIMMY CARTER (SSN-23) and President Carter will be
at both the christaning next year and commissioning in 2005.

I was wearing a JIMMY CARTER ball cap that Erik gave me on a run to the grocery
store the other day and was lambasted by your prototype little old lady for
making fun of a Nobel Peace Prize winner by claiming they were going to name a
war ship after him.

I believe that Jimmy Carter has been a prototype of living and striving for the
things that one believes are truly vital and that regardless of whether one
agrees with his policies that he has honored our nation with his service.

I've tried to be more involved in my community as a result.
