I thought, "well Ok here's one of those artsy guys that's going to be all techie stuff and no feeling." Then he put out his hand offering a firm and warm hearted hand shake and with a wry kind of smile he said, "Hi ted, I'm Steve LeHuray." And from that moment on we were friends. Exchanged many e-mails on list and off and each year there after we had the same greeting and solid hand shake of friendship when we met at the Leica Seminar. It's always sad when one looses a friend and a fellow photographer, in this case we all have lost a friend, with or without the hand shake. Some of us on occasion locked horns with him, but that goes with the territory of friends who care about their friends even though at the moment in question, we sometimes wondered about the friendship when we snapped at each other. But in the end friendship holds strong and we once again smiled at each other, shared a beer or in some cases, a tear. We did that, this beret wearing, wry smiling fellow with a leica hanging on his neck. I'll always watch for him, his hat, smile and wire rimmed glasses. ted - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
